About

Photography began for me when I was twenty-five and I enrolled in the New England School of Photography. This was in 1970. After one year at the photography school I got a job with the landscape architecture company Sasaki Associates and I began teaching photography at New England School of Photography. I would continue to teach there for 20 years. With the recession in the mid 70’s my job with Sasaki was terminated. This is when I joined 3 other men and began building my studio in the top floor of an old mill building in Waltham, MA. We founded an artist community which still continues today Waltham Mills Artists Association

I have taught, freelanced, shown my work in galleries and sold my photography prints to individuals, companies and museums. Companies include Fidelity Investment Corp., Boston Redevelopment Authority, Sterling Drug, Inc.. Museums include Rose Art Museum and International Polaroid Collection. And Leonard Nimoy (Mr Spock) has a print of mine. Grants awarded to me include Massachusetts Artist Foundation Grant and National Endowment for the Arts.

Presently I live in Sarasota Florida with my wife Mari Reed. We decided to give a try down here for a year (we moved here April 13 2009) and see how we liked it. So far so good.
